Read the Instagram follower report header
The header fixes the selected profile and observation period. In the example, @studio_example moves from 1,248 followers to 1,252 between September 10 and 11, 2026, UTC. That supports a net change of +4. Membership changes remain unavailable in this count-only example.
Switch the direction deliberately
Followers and Following are separate views. Changing the view also changes the direction label and result description. Keep the selected profile visible so the reader can identify who is following whom.
Inspect a partial result
A profile header can be available even when its follower list is not. The sample uses an unavailable membership state to explain that difference. A missing list does not become an empty list, and a failed count does not become zero.
Use the evidence note
